Day 5 of 7
Crown Him Lord Across Every Dimension
5787: The Year of the Spoken Word and Divine Rest
Anchor Scriptures
Colossians 1:18 (NKJV)
...that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...
Devotional Reading
The traditional script of the Hebrew letter Zayin reveals a compelling structural graphic: it is stylized as a crowned man who was nailed-pointing directly to Jesus, the crucified and exalted King. This prophetic picture serves as an explicit challenge to evaluate who is truly sitting on the throne of your daily life. Authentic rest is unlocked only when you consciously crown Him Lord over every dimension of your existence. It requires a sober acknowledgment that you cannot fix everything, control outcomes, or transform your character through human grit alone; you must yield control to the King.
Today's Confession
"Jesus, I explicitly crown You as the absolute Lord over my mind, my family, my business, and my future. I resign from trying to be the sovereign ruler of my own life. I acknowledge that You are God and I am not. I completely trust Your authority, I bow to Your layout for my life, and I look to You to accomplish what I cannot do in my own strength. Amen."
5-Minute Journal Prompt
Draw a circle in the center of your page representing the throne of your heart. Honestly identify what has been trying to sit in that circle lately (e.g., anxiety, financial worry, control, pride). Cross those out and write the name of Jesus across the center of that throne.
Prayer Activation Exercise
Lift your hands high above your head, imagining yourself placing a crown upon the Lord. Declare aloud: "I strip control away from my ego and anxiety. I crown You, King Jesus, over my blind spots, my challenges, and my victories. Have total preeminence in my home and schedule today!"
