Day 1 of 7

Day 1: Loved Before You Take the Next Step

Rooted in Love: A 7-Day Journey of Faith, Wisdom, and Obedience

Anchor Scriptures

Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV)

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.'

Devotional Reading

A new responsibility can bring excitement and uncertainty into the same morning. You may wonder whether you will understand what to do or have enough to offer. Before those questions become the center of your attention, remember God's everlasting love. His invitation to draw near begins with His character, not your ability to anticipate what comes next.

Jesus reveals the Father to you through His words, His works, and His love. As you come to know Him more deeply, trust has room to grow. You can take an unfamiliar step without knowing the whole journey because you are learning to trust the One who leads. Today's beginning can be quiet fellowship rather than anxious preparation.

Today's Confession

I am loved by God with an everlasting love. His lovingkindness draws me near, and knowing Jesus deepens my trust in the Father. I receive His love as the foundation of my faith. I can take the next faithful step without understanding the whole journey.

5-Minute Journal Prompt

What approaching responsibility looks different when you consider it in light of the Father's love rather than your own ability?

Prayer Activation Exercise

Read Jeremiah 31:3 slowly and thank the Father for His love. Name one responsibility that has been troubling you, and place it before Him. Spend a few moments thanking Him for who He is before asking what you should do.
