Day 2 of 7
Day 2: Make Room for Love to Flow
Rooted in Love: A 7-Day Journey of Faith, Wisdom, and Obedience
Anchor Scriptures
Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV)
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Devotional Reading
A remembered offense can enter your thoughts before the day has properly begun. You replay someone's words and feel the hurt again. God's love has not withdrawn from you in that struggle. His forgiveness in Christ gives you a foundation from which to respond differently.
Forgiveness gives love room to shape your response where bitterness has been taking hold. You can acknowledge the hurt without allowing accusation to direct your words or choices. Holy Spirit can help you recognize what you have been holding and yield it to the Lord. Kindness becomes a practical expression of the love you have received, even when the relationship remains difficult.
Today's Confession
God has forgiven me in Christ, and His love shapes my response to others. I choose kindness and a tender heart rather than bitterness and accusation. I release my claim to rehearse the offense and yield my response to Holy Spirit. I walk forward in the love I have received.
5-Minute Journal Prompt
Which remembered offense has been influencing your responses, and what would a choice shaped by forgiveness look like today?
Prayer Activation Exercise
Bring one hurt honestly before the Lord. Thank Him for His forgiveness in Christ, and express your willingness to forgive the person involved. Ask for wisdom about a kind and truthful response, then leave the matter with Him as you continue your day.
