Shuttering the Past and Moving Forward in Love
September 19, 2026
God is closing the door on fruitless patterns and calling His people forward into a life shaped by the Father’s love, the righteousness of Christ, attentive obedience to revelation, restored identity, and Spirit-led readiness to serve, pray, and share the gospel.
The gathering opened with two prophetic corporate words that established its direction. The first was a call to stop rehearsing failure and allow God to close off unfruitful patterns. The second affirmed that faith-filled prayer, spoken Scripture, worship, and spiritual warfare accomplish more than believers can see. Together, the words formed an invitation to receive the new without returning to what God is bringing to an end.
The teaching then developed this invitation through several connected truths: the Father’s love produces rest and loving fruit; Christ has made believers righteous; communion centers the Church in His finished work and its union with Him; revelation brings responsibility; restoration requires forgiveness and renewed identity; and believers must remain ready for unexpected opportunities to witness and intercede.

Opening Prophetic Words
Prophetic Word One to the Group Shuttering the Fruitless Past
The opening word uses several similar-sounding terms - shattering, shuddering, and shutters. The clearest controlling image is that of shutters closing so that former fruitlessness is no longer kept in view. The wording below preserves that image while smoothing only obvious transcript errors.
Corporate prophetic word to the gathering
“The Lord says there will be a shuttering of those things - a shuttering, just like shutters in a home. There will be a shuttering. He is closing down things that you have done in the past that have not produced fruit, and He is looking for fruit from you in this year. Recognize those things that He is shuttering. You cannot even see them anymore. Do not return there. Do not rehearse failures, problems, or things that did not produce fruit. Go forward. We are marching forward together. You can march with Me, or you can rehearse your failures and your fruitlessness. I want to shutter that, and I want to push you forward, says the Lord.”
The prayer that followed asked God to help the group recognize what He was closing, release the desire to revisit it, and move forward with Him. The word does not deny the need to learn from the past. It warns against allowing fruitless history to remain the believer’s field of vision and source of identity.
Prophetic Word Two to the Group: The Father’s Love and the Work of Prayer
Corporate prophetic word to the gathering
“You know that by faith you please Me, because you are speaking My Word. You are doing warfare - yes, at times you know you are doing warfare. You are moving angels. You are moving things that I speak to be done on the earth through you, much more than you have any idea, more than you can ask or imagine. But I remind you: you are My children. I love you. I thank you that you lean in. I thank you that you honor Me, and I will honor those who honor Me, and I will bless you.”
Continuation of the corporate prophetic word
“When you pray, do not let the enemy tell you that you are being used. The Holy Spirit is speaking through you, and I am blessing you. I am pouring out My blessing on you. I always have. From the very moment you were born again, I poured out the love of God by My Spirit into your heart. Even now, there is so much more I have for you - so much more for a new year: new things, new beauties, new understanding, and new wisdom in the Word and in the Spirit.”
Conclusion of the corporate prophetic word
“Do not be discouraged or allow the enemy to discourage you. It is a lie; it is a sham. As you lean in, as you worship, as you come close, as you draw near, I draw near to you. You are My children, and I love you, says the Father.”
This word joins spiritual responsibility with belonging. The group is encouraged to pray and speak the Word seriously, yet its confidence rests in the Father’s love rather than personal performance. Prayer is not presented as a way to earn His favor; it flows from the relationship already given to His children.
Resting in the Father’s Love
Perfect Peace Belongs to Those Who Trust
Isaiah 26:3 - God keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him because that person trusts Him.
Following a musical portion centered on resting in God, the group was asked how believers actually enter that rest. The answer was faith in the Father’s character. He is good, He does not change, and every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Rest begins when the heart stops treating God as uncertain and entrusts itself to His love.
James 1:17 (NKJV) - Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
John 3:16 - The Father’s love is revealed in giving His only begotten Son.
Because believers are children, heirs, and joint heirs with Christ, their lives should bear the fruit of the One to whom they belong. The fruit emphasized in the gathering was love. Rest is not indifference or inactivity; true rest creates the inward security from which love can be expressed.
Love Must Become Visible
The group was reminded that love is demonstrated through ordinary choices. Kindness may sometimes begin as an act of faith before emotion agrees. A believer can deliberately soften an attitude, answer graciously, and invite the Holy Spirit to govern the interaction.
The practical confession was simple: “If I can be anything, I am going to be kind. I am going to be loving, and I am going to reflect my Father God’s love.”
Righteousness and Freedom from Sin Consciousness
What Christ Has Already Paid For
A testimony was shared from a book describing a young man’s reported near death experience during a serious case of COVID. The group acknowledged that such accounts must be tested by Scripture. The portion emphasized that the holiness of God is overwhelming, yet Christ’s wounds reveal that sin has been paid for.
Statement attributed to Jesus in the reported experience
“Why are you concerned about those things which are already paid for?”
The young man described seeing Christ’s wounds and understanding personally that Jesus had died for him. He felt as though he had never sinned or fallen because he was being shown righteousness through Christ. The spiritual point was not that sin is unimportant, but that the finished work of Jesus is greater than the believer’s former record.
Made the Righteousness of God in Christ
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) – For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Jeremiah 23:6 (NKJV) – In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
The teaching emphasized that Christ did not bear sin that belonged to Him; He bore ours. He entered the judgment of sin so that those united with Him could receive His righteousness. Believers, therefore, do not approach God on the strength of their own record, but entirely through the finished work of Jesus.
True freedom from sin-consciousness does not produce careless living. When believers understand how deeply they are loved and what Christ has actually done, they naturally desire to obey, give Him their whole heart, and remain near Him. Righteousness becomes the rock-solid foundation for holiness, rather than an excuse to avoid it.
Communion and Life in Union with Christ
Remembering His Love
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 - The bread and cup proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
Communion was received with attention to the Father’s love in sending His Son. The bread was connected with Christ’s body, the Bread of Life, and the Word made flesh. The cup represented His blood shed for the remission of sin and the covenant established through His sacrifice.
The group also reflected on Jesus’ statement that to see Him is to see the Father. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are perfectly united, and believers are joined to Christ as His body. This union means that individual actions affect the wider family of faith. Communion therefore calls believers both to receive grace and to walk in holiness, love, and responsibility toward one another.
John 14:8-11 - Jesus tells His disciples that the one who has seen Him has seen the Father.
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 - The many members form one body, and each member affects the others.
Healing and the Finished Work
As the cup was received, the group prayed that sickness, depression, and every form of oppression would yield to the work of Christ. Their focus was entirely on what His blood accomplished, rather than the physical elements themselves, demonstrating the truth that communion is a powerful reminder that forgiveness and divine healing are part of our immediate covenant inheritance. Faith does not look to the elements with a distant hope for a future cure; it takes hold of the broken body and shed blood of Christ to enforce and declare a present hour victory over all sickness and oppression.
Application and Intercession
Intercession for the Nation and Upcoming Elections
The gathering concluded its application of the teaching by turning toward the Church’s responsibility to intercede for the nation and its governing leaders. Revelation is not given merely for personal encouragement; it calls believers to respond through prayer, obedience, and the responsible use of spiritual authority.
Speaking the Word with Authority
Believers were encouraged to move beyond merely thinking about the nation’s needs but to pray aloud using the Word of God. The authority exercised in intercession does not originate with the believer. It rests in the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the truth of Scripture.
Just as the earlier teaching emphasized treasuring and applying revelation, intercessors must actively agree with what God has spoken. Prayer becomes an audible declaration that God’s truth—not fear, discouragement, or the prevailing public narrative—will govern the believer’s response.
Reversing Destructive Declarations
When reports promote hopelessness, unrighteousness, or the inevitability of corrupt leadership, believers should not passively come into agreement with them. They are called to reject destructive declarations and answer them with prayer grounded in God’s purposes:
“No, it will not turn out that way. The righteous will rule in this nation.”
This does not mean denying facts or repeating political slogans. It means refusing to allow fear-filled words to become the final authority. Believers can acknowledge the seriousness of current conditions while continuing to ask God for truth to be revealed, deception to be exposed, voters to exercise wisdom, and righteous leaders to be established.
Targeted Prayer for Government
The group prayed specifically for competitive Senate and House races in states including Nevada, Arizona, New Hampshire, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. The intercession focused on asking God to remove corrupt leadership, preserve those who govern with integrity, and raise up men and women committed to righteousness, truth, justice, and responsible service.
Specific intercession helps move prayer beyond general concern. Believers can research the decisions facing their communities, learn the names of candidates and leaders, and pray with understanding. The goal is not merely the success of a political party, but the establishment of leadership that protects what is good, restrains evil, administers justice, and honors God-given responsibility.
Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV) — “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
Moving Forward in Love and Obedience
The Church is called to remain watchful, informed, prayerful, and engaged. National intercession is not a single prayer offered and then forgotten. It requires persevering prayer. —speaking truth, resisting fear, exercising responsible citizenship, and trusting God with the outcome.
God is calling His people to release the fruitless patterns of the past and move forward as His beloved children. Secure in Christ’s righteousness and restored by the Father’s love, we are to treasure His Word, obey the Holy Spirit, walk in kindness, remain ready to share the gospel, and faithfully intercede for others. Revelation now becomes responsibility as we carry His love, truth, and authority into the days ahead.
