Day 4 of 7
Lord, Use Me
From Glory to Glory: Carrying the Presence of God
Anchor Scriptures
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
James 4:8 (KJV)
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Devotional Reading
In the beginning, God gave humanity dominion under Him. Through prayer, you can give voice to what God is saying and become a co-laborer with Him. Holy Spirit can pray through a yielded believer according to the heart of God, and the Father answers in harmony with His own will. That privilege does not magnify the vessel; it magnifies the One who works through it.
Your part is to be available. The more readily you say, "Lord, use me," the closer you bring your heart and mind to Him. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, and choosing to yield to Holy Spirit without visible proof is precious to Him. When you say, "Holy Spirit, take charge. Do more through me," you offer Him something freely, in trust and love.
Drawing near is both invitation and response. God draws you, and you draw near to Him. Even when no one on earth sees the result, Spirit-led prayer produces eternal fruit. Do not measure your prayers by what you can see today.
Today's Confession
Lord, use me. I draw near to You, and You draw near to me. I come to You believing that You are and that You reward those who diligently seek You. Holy Spirit, take charge. Do more through me. I yield my heart and my voice to express what You are saying. Let my life magnify You, not me. In Jesus' name, amen.
5-Minute Journal Prompt
Where have you been waiting for visible proof before you yield to God? Write about one area where He is inviting you to trust Him and say, "Lord, use me," before you see the outcome.
Prayer Activation Exercise
Set aside a few unhurried minutes to pray without an agenda. Begin by saying, "Lord, use me. Holy Spirit, take charge." Then let Him lead your prayer. If a person, a situation, or a need comes to mind, pray for it as He leads, trusting that the Father answers according to His will even when you do not see the result.
