Day 6 of 7

From Glory to Glory

From Glory to Glory: Carrying the Presence of God

Anchor Scriptures

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV)

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Devotional Reading

When a heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. As you behold the glory of the Lord with an unveiled face, the Spirit changes you into His image from glory to glory. You do not have to manufacture glory or force transformation, because the flesh does not produce the change God desires. Your spirit hungers for God, and Holy Spirit carries out the transformation as you look toward Him.

God tends His field. He removes weeds and nurtures good fruit, and He may expose unforgiveness, distractions, attachments, or habits that need to be released. This is not rejection; it is freedom. He removes what competes with His presence so that you can grow in glory and reflect Him more clearly.

Worship keeps your heart alert to this work. His presence is already with you, but worship makes your inner person more responsive to Him. Listening to worship music while doing the dishes can become real fellowship when your heart is honoring Him. God honors your freedom to choose; He does not force your love or devotion, because love responds voluntarily. He has said that He will honor those who honor Him.

Today's Confession

Lord, I turn to You, and the veil is taken away. Where Your Spirit is, there is liberty, and Your Spirit lives in me. I behold Your glory, and I am being changed into Your image from glory to glory. I release whatever competes with Your presence in my life. With my own free will, I choose to honor You, and I trust You to do what only You can do. In Jesus' name, amen.

5-Minute Journal Prompt

Ask Holy Spirit to show you one weed He wants to remove from your life. It might be unforgiveness, a distraction, an attachment, or a habit. Write it down, and then write what freedom might look like for you after you release it.

Prayer Activation Exercise

Play worship music during an ordinary task today and let your heart honor the Lord as you work. At some point, pause and give Him what you wrote in your journal. If it is unforgiveness, name the person and choose to forgive. Then thank Him that He is changing you from glory to glory.
