Day 2 of 7

Resting in the Father's Love

Shuttering the Past and Moving Forward in Love

Anchor Scriptures

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

John 3:16 (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

James 1:17 (NKJV)

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Devotional Reading

Rest grows as you place your confidence in the Father’s unchanging character. He is good, His gifts are good, and His love for you is secure. When anxious thoughts make Him seem distant or uncertain, turn your attention back to who He has revealed Himself to be. You are His child; you do not pray to earn His love or prove your worth. You pray from a relationship He has already given you, allowing His love to quiet your heart and steady your trust.

Today's Confession

“Father, I choose to trust Your character. You do not change, and Your love toward me is secure. I receive Your love and allow my heart to rest in You. I will pray from relationship, not from performance. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

5-Minute Journal Prompt

Where are you treating God as uncertain or distant? Write down what you know about His character that allows you to trust Him in that area.

Prayer Activation Exercise

Sit quietly for five minutes and thank the Father for His love. As concerns arise, consciously place them in His hands and return your attention to His goodness.
